Our Relations with the Mountain

On this Couch Edition AMN will be collaborating with the collective Weaving Realities with this Nepalese documentary on Mount Everest:"they do not wish to conquer the mountain, instead, they want to serve the mountain."A group of experienced Sherpa mountain guides volunteered to climb to the Death Zone of Mount Everest, to pick up the enormous amount of trash that had been left behind by “nature loving” mountaineers from all over the world.

This area is also the origin of water resources for over 1 billion people which has been contaminated by the man-made trash. This group of Sherpa people risk their lives to cleanse the mountain, to clean the water source, out of their deepest love for the mountain which for them is the Goddess herself.
